How does it work?

It is quite simple. Once you become a Subscriber, you then are provided access to all of our full length club quality fitness videos. You can then sign-in from any computer, anywhere in the world and follow a video workout at your convenience. It is no different than exercising to a fitness DVD, with the exception that for a single monthly subscription fee, you have access to much more than just that one video every time.


How do I become a Subscriber?

From the home page, select Sign Up at the top right and follow the instructions. You will be required to give some personal information as well as a valid credit card for billing purposes.

What are my computer requirements to run FABS™ Videos?

To view this webcast, you must be using Internet Explorer or Netscape (version 4.7 or higher) as your internet browser, as well as Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher. For Mac, you may need to upgrade to Flip4mac 2.2, or you use Windows Media 9.0 for Mac.

How to I confirm my computer will run videos before I join?

To test this, simply run any of the sample videos. As long as you can view these without any problems, the full length videos will run with no problems.


Should I consult my Physician before becoming a Subscriber and begin to use the FABS™ services?

As a Subscriber, you will need to acknowledge that the use of the FABS™ Website and/or any of the fitness videos and/or any content thereof shall be at your sole/own risk. You must further represent and acknowledge to FABS™ Inc., a Canadian corporation, that:
  1. You have either discussed this exercise program with my physician or intentionally have not done so;
  2. You are at least 18 years of age;

How intense should I workout?

Not all exercise programs are suitable for everyone. You should always warm up for a few minutes before beginning any workout, and you should never exercise beyond the level at which you feel comfortable. If at any time you feel you are exercising beyond your current fitness abilities, or you feel discomfort, you should discontinue the exercise immediately.


What equipment do I need?

Our videos range from you requiring nothing other than a towel and some water to using some basic home exercise equipment. Prior to the start of any video, there is an equipment needed screen that tells you what you will need to do that video.


Should I follow the Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Fitness level in the Video?

We strongly advise that all new users to our program begin by following the beginner level of any of our programs. In some cases where levels are not offered, we advise you to ease into the program and be sure to not exercise beyond your abilities. Once you can competently complete the beginner level with no discomfort, only then should you attempt to progress to a more intense level.


Is there a program structure for me to follow?

Although, you can freely choose what videos you wish to do at the time you of your choice, we do have some program schedules available as well. Once you become a subscriber, you will have access to these 12 week program guides.


Is it safe to give my Credit Card information over the internet?

We use Moneris and we are committed to ensuring the integrity of payment information, and the prevention of credit card fraud. Moneris works with the card associations to ensure that our e-commerce payment processing solutions are secure and in complete compliance with their rules and regulations. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to provide a high level of security for Internet communications. SSL provides an encrypted communications session between your web browser and a Web server. When sensitive information is being sent over the Internet between your browser and a web server SSL verifies that the information has not been altered in any way on-route. All major browsers released in recent years support SSL.


Do the videos download to my computer?

No, our content is viewed by via streaming video. This means that the video is sent to your media player for viewing only and is not downloaded to your computer.


Will the videos run on a wireless network?

Although we do not recommend a wireless connection as the signal strength may vary, providing you have a good connection our videos should play on a wireless network. If you have a good wireless connection, this gives you the option of exercising in a greater variety of locations. Even outside!


How often will new videos be added?

We are committed to adding new content on a regular basis. As we continue to add new videos, the total roster of videos available to you will continue to grow and grow. Click on the "New Classes" link at the top of the home page to see what videos were most recently added.


Can I view the videos over my television?

Yes. A television is simply a monitor so all you have to do is connect your computer to your television.


Once I am a Subscriber, how do I Sign-in?

Simply click the Sign In link at the top right of the screen from the home page.


What do I do if I forgot or lost my username and password?

Simply click on the Sign In link at the top of the home page and then select the link for "forgot username/password?" Then enter your email address and we will email your username and password to you.


How do I stop my screen saver from interrupting my video?

Click "Start" from your desktop and then select "Control Panel". In the Control Panel select "Appearance and Themes" then select "Display". Next select the "Screen Saver" tab. From here you have two choices. Either select none in the drop down menu to have no screen saver come on, or select a wait time that is longer than the length of the video.


Is there a limit to how many videos I can watch?

No, there is no limit to how many videos you watch. Each account (username) is limited to no more than 60 hours (based on average class length of 40 minutes this equates to approximately 90 classes per month or 3 per day!) of streaming video content per monthly subscription period. Every time you watch a video, there is a cost to FABS™ for the usage of internet bandwidth to send the video to you. Hence, we do have to have a limit in order to keep our monthly subscription fees so affordable. If you require more than this allotment, you can create additions subscriptions to meet your needs.


I would like to be in one of your videos. Is this possible?

Absolutely! We are looking for participants and success stories. Click on the support / contact us link and select "Casting Call" in the drop down menu and email us an audition request.
